Who We Are
Memorial United Church is a community of faith within the United Church of Canada. We don't have all the answers, but love the questions, as we seek to follow in the Way of Jesus. Let's explore them together.
Built in 2009, we serve Murray River, Murray Harbour, Little Sands, and the surrounding communities. We are located at 229 Cape Bear Road. Worship and Sunday School is at 10:30am every Sunday!
Seniors' Lunches
March 6, 2025 marked 21 years since we delivered our first seniors' meal. It was a cold and blustery day in 2004. Coldest day in years. ❄️💨❄️💨
A hot meal, once a month from October to April , is delivered to seniors, those with health issues or maybe someone that is alone and appreciates being thought of in our communities of Murray Harbour, Murray River and surrounding areas. We average 80 meals per month.
Our volunteers....bakers, cooks and drivers all make it possible to continue this outreach in our community. Next Meal TBA

Eastern PEI Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of The United Church of Canada! On Tuesday, June 10th, all are warmly invited to come celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the United Church of Canada! This event is a collaboration of 9 United Churches of Eastern PEI and will get underway at 4:30 p.m., with a free BBQ and fun activities for people of all ages. The worship service begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by cake and ice cream. Many thanks to our host site: Hillcrest United Church, 50 Wood Islands Road, Montague (fully accessible). Freewill Offering to the Mission & Service Fund and/or to Camp Abegweit.
